Ever since I was a little kid, I always wanted to learn Chinese. I tried learning in school but it never really worked.

When I graduated university, I moved to China to learn Chinese. It is definitely the best way to learn a new language.

I was learning Rocket Chinese when I was studying in the U.S. However, if given the choice, it is always better to move to the country to learn the language.

I think I learned more Chinese in my first 3 months living here than I did 3 years of studying the language.

Hey Diggy,

Lol I only saw this now and see that everyone's correcting you on your Chinese? :p
I find it very hard to change languages, from speaking English and then changing to Afrikaans quickly or to Chinese. I still get tongue-tied now and then.

But yes, I'm still slowly learning Chinese (even though I am Chinese), hehe, I think Afrikaans was way easier to learn!
