Let the sun shine on your face

Last night I was chatting to my friend Glen from Pluginid and he told me to listen to the song ‘Shine’ by Laura Izibor. I did and I found it such a beautiful song.

It’s saturday morning so I slept in nice and late, woke up, opened the curtains and it’s such a beautiful day outside. I put this song on and decided to share it with you guys :)

“Wake up one morning you realize

Your life is one big compromise (compromise)

Stuck in the job you swore was only temporary (was only temporary)

Feel like the world is passing you by (do do do do do)

Never done all the things you would need to try

Stuck in one place, got a pain in your face from all your stressin’ out (all your stressin’ out)x2

You ask yourself there’s got to be more than what I’m living for (what I’m living for) x2

You ask yourself there’s got to be something else, something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face

And don’t let your life go to waste

Now is the time, got to make up your mind

Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

Feel like there’s nothing *nowhere to* go

You try and fight but you can’t let go

Roll the pain, got so much to gain

Now is the time

You ask yourself there’s got to be something else, something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face

And don’t let your life go to waste

Now is the time, got to make up your mind

Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

You ask yourself there’s got to be more than what I’m living for (what I’m living for) x2

You ask yourself there’s got to be something else, something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face

And don’t let your life go to waste

Now is the time, got to make up your mind

Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

Well let the sun shine on your face

And don’t let your life go to waste

Now is the time, got to make up your mind

Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

Well let the sun shine on your face

And don’t let your life go to waste

Now is the time, got to make up your mind

Let it shine on you, let it shine on you”

You know…so many of us take life for granted. After listening to this song, waking up to such a beautiful day and taking a drive to town to go take a run in the park, this is the road that takes me to town and this is what I see:

And feeling the sun shine on my face (in the middle of winter – you gotta love South Africa), I just think to myself “Life is awesome” :) Let’s make the most of it!

Have a Rockin’ day

  5. I visited your blog for the first time this week. I have been reading your comments on another blog for awhile and decided to check out your blog. I left a comment just yesterday and got a very nice Welcome email from you so I came back to read more of your articles. I like your style and what you write about.

Because I am an incest survivor who writes about incest in order to help other abuse survivors, not all of the blogs that I choose to read and the topics that I choose to write about are uplifting. For my own growth, I read a few blogs, like yours, that are uplifting and offer a positive outlook on life. Thanks for doing that and yes, I am going to subscribe to your blog. I like your style.

I think it is so great to be able to connect, though the internet, with people from all parts of the Earth. You are my first from Africa. I live in the state of Arkansas in the U. S. A. in the Deep South. I have internet friends in Australia, Japan, Germany, England, Malaysia, India and all across the U. S. A. just to name a few.

Life really is grand, not in spite of our struggles but because of those struggles which I choose to see as challenges that make life interesting. Have a glorious day.

Hi Diggy! you’ve right – what can be so beautiful than a smile – btw, i love to smile – it’ nice to see the smile on people’s eyes , face?!
for example, today it was a weird day, let’s say a hard day at work, but I tried to make fun of trouble – if I’ll cry, I’ll get old, and I don’t wanna to:))
all the best and, hey – I saw you smilling:)

    • Diggy - UpgradeReality.com says:

      Hey Sabina!
Nice to hear from you again! :)
Of course it’s nice to see smiles, sometime you can make someone’s day just by smiling :)
