So many coincidences…or is there more to it?

There have been so many examples of things happening that seem too much of a coincidence.
I’ll give some examples just now.

Since reading things like The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, and an awesome book called Psycho-Cybernetics (which I’m still reading) and a few more similar minded books, they all talk about reality being what you want it to be.

In other words, you are whatever you think you are, and your reality shapes itself to your idea of reality.
I read about studies being done where the body reacts in exactly the same way to things that are real and things that are perceived to be real.
An example for this would be being out in the jungle, and seeing a big grizzlybear looking straight at you.
Your body will turn into flight mode, adrenalin goes into the bloodstream, other bodily processes not needed for running get stopped just to get you to safety.
But say the bear was really just a man in a costume, harmless, you would not know, and if you perceived this man in costume to be a bear and a threat, you would react in exactly the same way and you would to a real bear.

The same with success and failure, if you have the self-image of failure, no matter how many times you try, you will find a way to fail, because this is your reality.
If you truly see yourself successful, visualise achieving your goals or having achieved them, you will eventually succeed.

Ok, so some examples from while back up until recently.

I was driving to a friends place who stayed in a kinda bad area, and got a thought into my head saying that nothing has happened to me in this area before.
10 minutes later my car was hijacked at gunpoint.

One day at work, a thought came into my head saying I hadn’t been to hospital yet that year, 3 hours later I was in hospital getting stitches in my chin.

Saying and thinking things like I don’t like blonde girls, and the next three girls I’m with are blonde.

I was thinking about this girl I used to like, and I hadn’t seen or heard from her in a few weeks and thought I probably won’t again, and a week later she calls me up (of course because she needed something from me) but still…

Then, this girl I went out with 2 years ago sends me a message on some social networking site. That weekend I go out clubbing and who do I run into? Her! In 2 years never seen or heard from her, and then I randomly meet her in a club? And then the weird thing is she asked me if I ever come to her town which is like 2 hours away, so I say, nope, I don’t know anyone there, so the following week, I meet up with this girl from the other side of the country to do a photoshoot on the beach, we get along well so we agree to meetup for drinks, guess where she lives..yup, in this town 2 hours away where I never go because I don’t know anyone there.

I can give many more examples like these, but I’m trying to figure it out.

Either I’m super intuitive and I get to know certain things before they happen.

Or its because I focus on certain things and thus subconsiously all my actions take me towards where I’m thinking of, even if it’s negative (eg saying well X has not happened to me) and then it happens.

Or it is just all crazy coincidences and I’m making a bigger deal out of it than it really is.

The thing is if it is because I’m thinking about it, it does not work when you say for instance:
“I want to win a million $”
OR
“I haven’t had a supermodel as a girlfriend yet”

They have to be spontaneous, impulsive thoughts that enter your mind for them to have an effect, I don’t know why this is yet.

Anyhooo, Just part of me documenting my thoughts, I’d love some feedback on this and hear if anyone else also experiences similar things?

    Regarding your post…

Or its because I focus on certain things and thus subconsiously all my actions take me towards where I’m thinking of, even if it’s negative (eg saying well X has not happened to me) and then it happens.

I think this is more likely the case, but only for things you can actually control. In other words, I’m sure millions of people each weekend focus hard to win the lottery and it doesn’t happen to them but that is because the chance is so small.

Glad you are enjoying Psycho-Cybernetics…PDF styleee

The same things happen to me, I am so skeptical about things like this (e.g the law of attraction), but its so hard to deny, it happens so often to me. Heres an example, a few minutes ago, when I was trying to decide on a name for a character in a story assigned by my prof, I thought of a name Mr.DeLaney, then discarded it because I thought it sounded lame. So I went to use an online name generator, and guess what name I got. Willard Foster Delanney. I’m not makeing this up, it was the weirdest thing. Similar things have happened before, and each time I pushed them off as coincedence. Theoryetically this is impossible, as the conflicting thoughts would bring chaos to the universe, but yet, maybe the universe is already in chaos. These things are so intricate and suggest some kind of hidden meaning beyond me. I’m starting to sound like one of those fanatics, but it happens more frequently.

      Welcome to Upgradereality!

Yep, those are exactly the kind of coincidences I’m talking about that makes me think we are somehow able to sense things that are about to happen.

I still need to complete my theory about it :)

      Have an awesome day!

Reading your post with some amusement.. If you reread it and notice all the things that you did NOT want to happen, then relealize the the universe does not know how to compute ‘No’ and wil will see that you actually invited all the things that happened. Food for thought??

Appreciate your your considerations, I acknowledge that we should all receive alot more proper care of our self.

We control the universe and what happens. Careful what you think…
