This Is Why You Are The Luckiest Person In The World

Table Mountain Sunset

I was watching a beautiful sunset last night and as I stood there watching the sky light up in all sorts of pink and orange colors, I became aware of what really matters in life.

We’re all trying to make a living and enjoy life in this big beautiful world.

There is so much greed, hatred, jealousy, killing and negativity in the world. So many people are working jobs they hate because it seems to be “what you’re supposed to do”. Imagine waking up in the morning and hating your life, hating your day and the 5 days a week you need to be at your job.

I wouldn’t want it for any price, because you only have a limited amount of days before your time is up. Life is the most precious gift of all, and we should enjoy it to the max.

Now of course I know that you need to make money to stay alive. You need to do something to bring in the Benjamins. I also know that not everyone can be successful or wealthy, but I believe that anyone can.

It takes hard work and persistence, but you can do it. I’m busy doing it, and I’m going to succeed.

What I can’t tell you is how long it will take or what exactly is going to be the big stepping stone towards my goal. Maybe I won’t reach my targets in the next year, and I’ll have to find a job to pay for the bills.

But I won’t settle, I’ll never settle for something I don’t really want. As long as I’m alive, healthy and free…I’m going to keep following my passions and keep working towards my goals until I reach them.

If you really want to make a change to your life and current situation, then this is the mindset that you need to have. It doesn’t matter what comes your way, as long as it doesn’t kill you, you will reach your goals!

I mentioned all the bad and negative things of our world earlier, but there are so many good, beautiful and wonderful things on this earth that overshadow the bad.

Things like freedom, health, being alive, friends and family, food, a warm dry place to sleep and the wonders of nature (like a beautiful sunset) are more than enough to love live and appreciate every single second of it.

One of my favorite stories is A Dog’s Purpose. If you haven’t read it then take a couple of minutes to do so. It’s worth it, I promise!

It’s easy to forget how lucky you are and it’s easy to take the special things you have for granted. (I forget it myself at times). I just wanted to remind you of it with this post!

Have a look at this gorgeous sunset that I watched last night – I got it on video

I like what you said Diggy.
It might be a hard journey to fight for a financial freedom and time freedom day, but I’ll keep going, and I believe you will too. :D
Keep up the good work Diggy.

You’re absolutely right Diggy! We all have this incredible ability to be conscious of our world, and find it’s beauty wherever we choose to look.

I try to always spend 15-20 minutes outside to enjoy the weather. It helps keep me rooted in my core value: life is fantastic and worth-living.

    • Diggy

      Hey Steven!
      How are you doing?

Good to hear! It’s easy to get stuck inside or behind the computer all day, but if you can take 5-10 minutes every our and walk outside or sit in the sun. It makes a huge difference to your happiness! I’ve been doing that lately and it feels goooood!

      Thanks for stopping by!

    Hi Diggy,

I am totally with you on this one, it is so easy to see the bad things in life, when we should embrace all the great things around us, no matter how simple they are.

I am lucky enough to live by the beach and I run most mornings, getting that exercise with the sound of those waves and the sun coming up is one of the greatest things in the world, so you are right, I am the luckiest person in the world.

You have the right mindset, keep going and never give up, our dreams are ours as long as we never give up on them, great post.

    Regards

    Rob

      Hey Robert!

How are you doing? ooh that sounds nice! I’d love to live by the beach. In fact, that is one of my goals after I reach my income target. To go live on an island on the beach with a friend or girlfriend and just spend a couple of months waking up to sunshine and waves every morning.

Thanks for stopping by and keep enjoying life!

Nice scenery. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.

I like the metaphor that we’re the director of our life and can choose what we point our camera at.

      Hey JD!
      Long time no speak buddy!
I hope life is well and all is good!:)

    Hey Diggy!
This is awesome man. I definitely resonate with the idea of appreciating the simple things in life, and how that allows a person to truly love life, and feel fulfilled on this awesome journey of life.

    • Diggy

      Heya Baker!

Thanks for stopping by man. It’s good to remind yourself of what you have every once in a while:)

    Hey Diggy,

I think for me, are moments worth living are the ones where I’m sitting comfortably on my couch knowing that there are others out there who would kill for the life that I live.

I’m definitely where you are where it’s not perfect, but atleast we’re doing what we love in the comfort in our own homes.

    cheers buddy

    • Diggy

      Hey buddy,
yeah man I totally agree with you. Everyone has their tough moments and times when they feel like giving up. That’s part of life.

For the rest, if you have health, freedom, friends, happiness and the opportunity to pursue your dreams, then you’ve got a kickass life in my opinion.
After that it’s up to you to make something of it.

      Thanks for stopping by!

true. sometimes we forget about details and only see life in eagle view mode. It’s a really lonely view, you can see your goals but not your people.

I was a big life complainer. One day I had a chance to go to the Sea Turtle preserve , In the middle of the night, I saw it took a lot of effort just to lay its eggs ( sometimes just to be stolen or eaten by another animals or human ). This was a quite rare experience to me, one life’s detail had made me feel different about life. Maybe this is equal to your sunset.

    Your post really reminds me,
    Thank you Diggy

    • Diggy

      Hey Amel,
Thanks for sharing that! Nature has such beautiful things and events and it can make you see everything in a completely different light.

I also used to complain a lot, but realized that there is no point to it. If you can change it, don’t complain, take action to change it.

If you can’t change it, don’t complain, accept it and move on.

Awesome post man. I definitely respect your drive and focus towards your goals.

If you have to get a temporary job to pay the bills, so be it. As long as your belly is full and you have a roof over your head at night, you have everything you need to make it happen.

The sunset looked gorgeous by the way!

    • Diggy

      Hey Tony!

Thanks for the kind words man, really appreciate it!
Yeah that’s how I see it, as long as you’re comfortable, fed and have a place to sleep then you have the opportunity to achieve anything you want, especially in this online world where you can reach millions of people with your words, ideas or actions.

      Have an awesome day!

What an awesome sunset bro. You talk about positivity and negativity in the post. Both are all around us. We can be happy or sad regardless of our circumstances, either option is at our finger tips, we just need to open our eyes and focus on what we want and ignore what we dont.

    bLAZE YOUR tRAIL

    • Diggy

      Hey Ryan!

Thanks man! It’s really pretty and I see it almost every night!

I agree, we have the choice. The glass is either half full or half empty. How you see it is up to you.

I like the half full view:)

Diggy, that was a beautiful sunset man. It started out as a nice orange and then turned into this amazing saturated red color at the end..I don’t think I have ever seen a sunset like that in Pennsylvania! haha.

Here’s a little illustration of this principle in my life: This is kind of shocking, even for me to admit it myself, but I had some of the best days of my life in the hospital. I developed so much patience and calm of mind, that I could literally stare at the ceiling for hours. I felt so peaceful..

Of course this was a couple of years ago, and now that things are more under control, I have become less patient and more irritable. However, I am delighted when I get a chance to go on long walks. There’s really nothing like it. :)

The experience of living with a chronic illness has really changed me in so many ways. Things that I used to put off, are now things that I am taking action on every day. Learning Japanese, Ballet, Exercise, etc. I am so grateful that I am physically able to do these things. I also like to make life as simple as I can. It really makes everything better!

    Thanks,
    Josh Lipovetsky.

      Heya Josh!

Thanks for the awesome comment man!

Yeah South Africa is a really pretty country, there’s so much beautiful scenery. That’s Table Mountain in my video BTW. If you ever come here you should take the cable car(or climb) to the top of it. The view is incredible!

Happy to hear you are taking action to make a difference to your life. That’s the key. Personally I love martial arts as a way to get rid of stress and meditate.

I hope you have an awesome festive season!
