Getting a Tattoo |
Since I started with my internet marketing a few months ago, by chance I created a web page on Squidoo about unique tattoo designs, and to my suprise it took off like crazy. It got into the top 100 pages on squidoo, and in close to 3 months has gotten over 37000 visits.
I have various affiliate links on it and pretty much all my sales so far have come from tattoo designs, a cool $550. Since it was doing so well, I have made various other pages about tattoo designs but with little success really. That is besides the point right now.
What I want to talk about is tattoos and getting one.
I personally don’t have any, and have never really wanted to, yet I am starting to wonder more and more what kind of tattoo design would I choose and where would I want it…
The important thing is to choose a design that is meaningful to you, not because its trendy or other people like it. It is a design that must feel right, like it belongs on your body and you will wear it proudly, and maybe it will let you feel more complete!
I like the idea of a zodiac tattoo design, because it stands for who you are, it represents your character, and cannot change over your lifetime. However, I am a scorpio, and a scorpion tattoo is not something I find particularly amazing. I love tigers, especially saber-tooth tigers.
Then again, my preference leans towards a phrase or word with a great meaning, and then written in traditional Japanese lettering. I find their symbols of their alphabet so beautiful and intruiging, they almost just seem spiritual if you look at them.
The place where I would put it would be the inside of my ankle, on the side of my chest on my ribs, or somewhere on my back, so that it is not immediately visible when I am wearing clothes. There are so many different reasons to get tattoos and so many different tattoos to choose from, personally I would take many months to make my decision, even when I have my design, I’ll put it aside for a year or two, and then look at it again before I make the final decision. The thing is, it’s just so permanent, that you cannot go back once you have got the tattoo.
Sure you can get laser removal, but it will leave a nasty scar.
Also, be sure that when choosing a tattoo artist, choose one who has a great reputation, even if he is a bit more expensive or a bit further away from you. Imagine what happens if he messes up on your tattoo because he is drunk or plain sloppy. Then you will have to walk around with that tattoo for the rest of your life.
Also through my marketing of tattoo products, I have seen many different tattoo design galleries offering many thousands of different designs. In my opinion, before I’d get a tattoo I’d definetly get a membership with one of these galleries which costs around $35, because I want ideas and tattoo designs to choose from.
The biggest and best tattoo design gallery on the internet is Chopper Tattoo Design Gallery, and if you are keen on getting a tattoo, I recommend you stop by.

All the best and I hope you find your ultimate tattoo design!
