Each person has their own “key”, learn about NLP

Psychology is incredible interesting to me. I find it fascinating how people work, how they think, how emotions work and why people act the way they do.

After a bit of experimentation with NLP (Neuro linguistic programming) and covert hypnosis, it is amazing to see that people can so easily be manipulated. Every person is different, yet there are lots of commonalities (if that’s even a word). Let me explain:…

Some people are kinesthetic, which means they are goverened by what they can feel and touch.
Others are auditory, they are governed by sounds and what they can hear.
Others are visual, governed by images and what they can see.

Have you ever had an experience with someone, a friend,stranger,family member or girlfriend/boyfriend, where that person was so incredibly difficult and opposed to what you were saying, and then you said something different and they turned their view with a complete 180 degrees?

In a way…everyone has a “magic key” or combination, of something that you can say or do that will make them do anything. Lately I love trying to figure out the personality of new people I meet, and try and understand what that person is about at their core.

I did a little experiment on some social networking sites, where I would design a message, fun, flirty and flattering, with the idea being to get a girl really interested from the moment she reads it. I would take that same message, and send it to 40 or 50 different good looking girls who I would potentially be interested in. Of course, all of these girls read the same thing, come over to my profile and from there decide what they would do. A lot of girls did not reply, some of them told me I was creepy, some of them were neutral and came back with a neutral reply, and a few girls came back with very positive responses and showed great interest asking me questions etc.

This shows my point that people are so different. My style of message appealed perfectly to some girls and matched their core beliefs. With other girls it went totally against their core beliefs and they labeled me as a weirdo and with the rest of the girls it was neither good nor bad. Someone who is kinesthetic will not respond to images or sounds as well as to touch. When you start to see people in this way, they become like a game or a puzzle, for every step their is a counter-step,if I do or say this, then they will respond like that . Etc, etc.

The beauty of knowing the make-up of someone’s psychology is that you can connect to them on a much deeper level than most people can. You know what it is like when you meet someone who you feel is so similar to you, and you are immediately drawn to them. THAT is what you can achieve with someone at will. It is good for many things, friendships,business arrangements, and everyday confrontations where you can calm a situation even into your favour instead of letting it escalate into something uncontrollable!

Of course, I am making it sound very easy, and it really is that simple, but it will take much practice and studying before you get to a level that I am describing. I am not even close myself in case you are thinking so and I am definetly not advocating that you go around manipulating people for the fun of it of for your advantage. Real friendships and relationships are not meant to be faked.

So why would you use it?
As you know, initial interactions are pretty hard, and it can be really difficult to get some people to open up if they have just met you, and you may only have that one chance to show them who you are or otherwise you may never see them again. This is why NLP really comes in handy, or when you want to convince someone or a group of people to do something for the better. You may want to help someone quit smoking, or achieve a dream or stop them from doing something that they will regret. By knowing how that person thinks and how their inner core works, you will be able to know what to say to convince them.
