I didn't watch the film but from what your post say about it it will be really good to watch. Yes it's true that society and media have programmed us to do and behave in a certain way. We can say that we like this or this band when it's trendy but when the band loses its fame whe say that we don't like it. Having authenticity and purpose is what we need in our life.
